Picture
NAME: Mr. TEVITA LAUAKI LUANI
AGE: 24
VILLAGE: KOLOMOTU'A, NUKU'ALOFA.

Lauaki, a 2017 Top Merit Scholar Graduate from the New Zealand Polytechnic of Whitireia holding a Bachelor of Information Technology Level 7 (BIT7), with a major in System Analysis. He is cheerful, humble, self-motivated and is actively looking for a job. He is a fast learner, adaptable to new changes and environment, flexible and hardworking. He completed a 3 months internship work in New Zealand as system analyst and database designer. He is also volunteering for the local community youth group.

He's hoping to soon get a job to apply his strong IT skills, teamwork spirit and experience in system analyst and database design on top of other IT related fields to benefit a government project and/or a business IT department.
Since 2018 after returning to Tonga, Lauaki has submitted his job applications to various government departments and other local companies. With only two responses and no satisfactory outcomes, he decided to go through TYEE for support. Lauaki completed a week Work Ready Training Worskhop at TYEE and now ready and confident enough to give the job market another go before considering other plans.

Lauaki is one of our university graduate youth member portfolios that we work with in his search for employment. We help to connect him with promising employers for a meaningful career not only here in Tonga but also around the region.
We know that when our youth work, our economy works!
