This online platform contains a variety of Workforce Recovery Programme courses and different fields to study. It enriches our learning experience in different ways. I obtained access to this opportunity through TYEE (Tonga Youth Employment & Entrepreneurship) in coordination with the Commonwealth of Learning (COL).

Being employed at the same time having a chance to study, I realize how much I have just now learnt that I could not achieve when I was a student. It invests new skills; flexible to learner’s needs which give tremendous opportunity to people like me that doesn’t have enough money to further education into a higher calibre institution of learning.

As we take this online learning course seriously, we start to learn, as we learn: we grow our mind-set and this growth leads us to make a change.

Often at times, I hear this statement “A country's economy becomes more productive as the proportion of educated workers increases since educated workers can more efficiently carry out tasks that require literacy and critical thinking”. After taking a number of coursers from Coursera I witness how these upskilling online courses polish and develop my knowledge and understanding of my job and career.

The world is faced with this pandemic of COVID- 19 which causes immense pain and suffering, but it allows us to reconsider who we are and what we value. This critical moment present opportunity: more advanced and flexible use of technology such as Coursera.

It allows me to be safe at home enjoying my pajamas and hot chocolate, instead of going to the university, Coursera brings an university quality education to our doorsteps, with just a click away I have access to an ocean of information allowing to dream big and strive for excellence.

We are finding new ways to connect and support each other in adversity; surely we are doing so through Coursera online courses, in terms of feedback, asking questions and offering answers.
At a large scale and seeing the bigger picture, Coursera online platform stands as a whole to benefit and enlarge opportunities for anyone in need.
