TYEE signed MOU with TROW / SFL GROUPS

Tonga Youth Employment & Entrepreneurship Inc. (TYEE) has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with the TROW Group New Zealand and the SFL Group Tonga on Thursday, 26th July 2018 at TYEE Office in  Nuku'alofa.  The MOU reaffirms the commitment of TYEE and TROW / SFL Groups on their Collaborative Partnership to the objective of professional training and services and the sharing of resources and facilities in order to achieve mutual goals of the Partners.

Saia Latu, Chief Executive Officer for TROW / SFL Groups, and Lusia Latu-Jones, TYEE President signed the MOU in the presence of TYEE and TROW / SFL Groups representatives.

TYEE would like to acknowledge and thank the TROW / SFL Groups for the collaborative partnership opportunity. This MOU marks our shared passion and investment for the development of a TYEE new youth facility; Youth Tech Incubators Centre (YTIC) and Tonga Youth Market Connect (TYMC), a platform for stronger and better support services in Tonga.

​This MOU will enable TYEE and TROW / SFL Groups to jointly cooperate on professional services and of required infrastructure development for TYEE ongoing training facility for the youth in Tonga.  This MOU is also to jointly cooperate in relevant projects and share knowledge and expertise in the civil infrastructure and management of existing and future projects in Tonga and New Zealand.

Areas of coordination will also include technical support and assistance in several youth driven projects and other areas of shared interest in order to reach and put forward the best strategy. The MOU will enhance the ability of TYEE & TROW / SFL Groups to achieve their respective objectives and mandates.

According to TYEE President the MOU will benefit the Partnership as well as Tonga planning new infrastructure development. "The cooperation between TYEE and TROW / SFL Groups is expected to maximise the expertise in all aspects of the industry related projects from proposal to production technology, recruitment, youth entrepreneurs and project management, etc — that we are able to offer to our clients,"  she said. "We look forward to combining our knowledge and providing professional support services, sustainable solutions to infrastructure development and youth employment issues across Tonga".

​TYEE, a not for profit youth support service organisation is always looking for new prospects, new professional partners as the TROW / SFL Groups.​ It will enable us to meet our clients demands for work readiness development, technology, capacity building and mentorship support in regards to employment and entrepreneurship with ICT career opportunities.  This agreement will help us build on that success and to expand TYEE's support services further.

The TROW Group is a civil infrastructure specialist company​ based in New Zealand with a joint venture - the SFL Group - based in Tonga, which deals with recycled furniture and materials and also undertakes civil construction projects in Tonga.
