Together we make things happen!

Following on from our successful two years pilot program, we are delighted to today, 16th August 2017 announce the first "EMPLOYER OF THE MONTH AWARD", JULY 2017 – E.M. JONES GROUP.

This year starting July 2017, TYEE is pleased to introduce one of its Initiatives - giving recognition and appreciation to our Partner Employers for their generous support and being involved in a good cause! Without promising Partners such as the E.M. JONES GROUP support and contributions, TYEE would not have achieved our first part of the vision – assisting our youth into employment opportunities for a better future. With this award, TYEE would like to convey our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Management Team of the E.M. JONES GROUP for trusting in us to work together in providing the opportunities and support for the youth.

TYEE is committed to recognising the contribution of employers as partners in youth employment and training of the youth and our award is designed to highlight the excellent work being undertaken.  Each month TYEE will recognise the good work of companies like the E.M. JONES GROUP, who in the opinion of TYEE Management, consistently shows excellence and leadership in youth employment and training.

E.M. JONES GROUP's wonderful support and contributions have come a long way with TYEE since June 2015 and throughout our two year pilot and up to date.  Not only they hired the youth for the varieties of employment opportunities (accounts, travel agent operator, tour guide, administration, sales, stock controller, customer service, inventory and many more) but they also provided on-the-job training of the youth to meet the expectation of their respective roles and the work standard of the organisation as a whole.

Some of the youth did not make the cut during their probation period due to various personal reasons, but the majority had made it through up to today.  You can visit the "E.M. JONES GROUP of businesses" (as stated on the photo below) in the heart of Nuku'alofa and in Poutaha - you are bound to meet a TYEE youth there.  A youth who wants to improve her/him-self is in a job developing new skills, making new friends, gaining valuable work experience and being part of a great team while earning an income to help them and their families. This is the kind of employer and partnership between the E.M. JONES GROUP and TYEE that makes working together a success especially for the youth.  We thank the E.M. JONES GROUP for their consistent and tireless effort, investment and patience in tomorrow's workforce, today - the youth!
