Season Greetings from TYEE President

This time of year carries different meanings for different people. For me, I especially value and enjoy spending time with my husband and our families. It is also a time of hope when youths, businesses, neighbours and communities unite to show local love and support by helping those in need.

As we come together to say farewell to 2019 and prepare to welcome a new year, it is important to reflect on what we have been able to accomplish. Because of you, TYEE local youth development programs are helping more than 1,300 local youth school leavers and residents access the critical support services they need to thrive. Specifically, we have:

• supported 650 youth with work readiness and leadership skills development programs;
• connected 612 individuals with real local employment placements; supporting 50 individuals with mentorship support;
• invested in youth (87% females) ICT basic skills, supporting more than 100 individuals into employment and entrepreneurial pathways;
• provided more than 50 youth with GO GREEN! volunteering opportunities, local work experience and internship opportunities;
• developed TYEE's youth entrepreneurship and mentorship programs 2020.

Such milestones and achievements can only be accomplished because of people like you, who stand united to advocate for change and showcase generosity through sponsorships, donations and volunteerism.

Together with you, we offer hope to our most vulnerable youth and families. This hope takes the shape of long-term solutions that battle poverty, education inequality, youth school leavers & unemployment challenges, barriers to youth being young entrepreneurs and change-makers, climate change and offer support to those youth and their families.
