Connecting Education, TVET Programs and TYEE

This week, TYEE had the opportunity of meeting with Elder & Sister Heiner and the Vice-Principal of Liahona High School (LHS), Fane Fotu Fituafe who is also in-charge of the school TVET Programs.

Currently, at LHS the TVET Program includes welding, carpentry, electricity, automotive, commercial cookery and hospitality, and more in collaborations with Ahopanilolo Technical Institute and Tonga Institute of Science and Technology, making the programs available to  LHS students at Liahona.

TYEE is excited at the opportunity to build relationships with LHS with the aim to connect the academic Education, TVET programs and TYEE to identify how we can best utulise our respective programs, services and resources to maximise the opportunity for our young people in Tonga (and outside of Tonga).  Bridging the gap between Education to Employment and getting youth into work and business is our mission.
