But of course, we can't do this alone. We want to partner, as much as possible, with Tongan organisations; governments, development partners, private sector and employers, educational providers, and most importantly - young people, because they have the greatest stake in the outcomes. TYEE's ultimate goal is to address the youth employment challenges in Tonga by helping the young school leavers aged 18 to 29. We are excited about this wonderful opportunity and new development for Vava'u to help the young people into their first or new jobs by bridging the gap between the youth, businesses and employers. We take this opportunity to acknowledge the support which we have received from the Government of Australia and Tonga Skills. TYEE is able to expand its services to Vava'u through our valuable partnership with the Government of Australia and Tonga Skills. With their generosity and support it's enabling our vision and mission to be realised and scaled up - giving hope to our young people in preparing and empowering them to enter the workforce. What TYEE is looking forTYEE wants to work with partners who are willing and committed to addressing the youth employment challenges in Tonga. To improve youth employment condition in Tonga, we won't be asking you - what can we do for you? But rather, we'll ask you - what can we do together to influence and inspire others and change for impact?
At the end of the day, a job is about so much more than money. It's about one's self-worth being valued and respected. Looking after yourself, your family, and the people you love. It is also about giving back to society and paving the way for those who will follow.
When people have the self-worth of work being valued and respected - they are invested in the future. If we get it right together, TYEE believes that thousands young Tongans entering the workforce can be thousands of reasons to be optimistic about the future.
